Process claimed in parent patent is improved in that 0.001-5 wt. % w.r.t. monomer mixlture, of an aliphaltic, alicyclic, heterocyclic and/or arom. amine are added to the reaction mixture when copolymers are prepd. by suspension polymn. This ensures that coatings mfrd. from the products have better spread, smoothness, and gloss. Triethylamine is suitable.
