These are made by treatment of lignin with alkali followed by sulphonation; the amount added is preferably 0À0005- 0-01 wt per cent, and scaling may be inhibited in oil-well equipment by adding either a 1-50 wt per cent concentrate or solid compound to water in contact with the equipment. |
