The layer 26 which provides chemical resistance, comprises at least two polymers, one in the form of a matrix, the other as a reinforcement. The bulky matrix phase is preferably a polyester or polyesterurethane resin, e.g. a polyester made from phenylindane dicarboxylic acid and a mixture of glycols, or condensation products of diols or glycols with carboxylic, naphthalic, sebacic or phthalic acids, the reinforcement phase is preferably a rosin ester or a ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer. The primer and protective layer 26 and the adhesive layer 30 may have the same formulation for adder protection of the transfer after application to the substrate which is generally a PVC container for chemicals. |
