Granulate wetted by a liquid discharged in predetermined batches by feeding the wet granulate to a feed hopper having an inlet zone, a sealed zone and a discharge zone, the sealing zone being provided with a rotary vane valve partially screened off by a guide vane and with means for removing the liquid, whilst the discharge zone is provided with one or more inlets for fresh liquid. Used for feeding polyamide granulate in predetermined quantities. Granulate is fed without surface damage impairs the quality.
