PURPOSE:To prevent the life of a copying lamp from being short and to prevent the temperature of a peripheral part from exceeding a tolerance limits by preventing the voltage of the copying lamp from being corrected and using a voltage value before the calculating processing of the voltage of the copying lamp as it is when the voltage of the copying lamp calculated based on the density, etc., of an image exceeds an upper limit value. CONSTITUTION:Ordinarily, the voltage of the copying lamp 10 is calculated in accordance with toner density formed on a photosensitive body 1 and the surface potential of the photosensitive body, and the calculated voltage of the copying lamp is compared with the previously set upper limit value of the voltage of the copying lamp. In the case that the calculated voltage of the copying lamp exceeds the previously set upper limit value, the voltage of the copying lamp before calculating processing is used as it is and the voltage value obtained by calculating processing is cancelled. Since the voltage of the copying lamp is prevented from exceeding the upper limit value, the life of the copying lamp is prevented from being short and trouble such as the abnormal temperature rise of the peripheral parts of the copying lamp such as a table glass is prevented. |
