The traffic sign has internal illumination with a facility for the lighting tubes to extend for the full length of the fingers. The finger are of a caisson construction with a discontinuous stiffening sleeve positioned about a vertical extension of the post axis and closed at each vertical extremity by a mounting plate. The lower finger is fixed on the head of the post, a captive bolt traversing the bottom mounting plate to receive a nut. A spacer ring is fixed above in a similar manner to accommodate a second finger, the top finger receiving a capping ring. |
