<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an air bag device for protecting a leg part of a vehicle occupant from obstructing occupant's feet. CONSTITUTION:A steering 14 is arranged in the center front of a seat 20. In a position displaced in a right direction from this center front, an air bag device 12 is set up on the bottom surface of an instrument panel 10. In this air bag device 12, an air bag is quickly unfolded in an area of including the center front of the seat 20, in the case of encountering emergency time of collision or the like of a vehicle. Thus by providing the air bag device 12 in a position displaced sideward from the center front of the seat 20, the air bag device 12 is placed in a position distant from feet of a vehicle occupant. Accordingly, space around the feed of the vehicle occupant can be widened to improve accomodation in a vehicle room.</p> |
