PURPOSE:To process a multilayered fancy cake loaf, e.g. to sandwich a cream between the layers of the cake loaf automatically, by the reversing operation etc. of a rotating body drivably connected to a cam mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A cake tray 4 with a cake loaf divided into three layers (A), (B) and (C) thereon is sent by a conveyor one after another and stopped at a given position relative to a rotating body 10. At the stopping position, a cam 18 is operated, and a wheel 7 comes to a position A1 shown in the cam diagram to lift the tray 4 by a height a. The top surface of the first layer (A) of the loaf is brought into contact with a suction site 16 of the rotating body 10. A vacuum supply and discharge device 17 is operated on detection of the rotating position of the cam 18 to suck the first layer (A). On detecting a position O2 of the cam 18, the rotating body 10 reverses. 180 degrees to lift the first layer (A) to a position where the suction site 15 existed. For example, a cream is applied to the top surface of the layer (A). Thus, the operations are repeated to process the multilayered cake loaf automatically. |
