Finishing rolling mill - passes cold rolled strip in S-loop through traction roller pairs before and after mill

Finishing rolling mill for cold rolled strip is preceded and followed by pairs of traction rollers which are partly encircled by the strip in an S-shaped loop. The rollers are arranged on top of each other and to run the strip into the gap between them the lower roller can be swung out of the way to above the top roller, preferably around the axis of the top roller as pivot. Cold rolled strips of even greater thickness and with any leading end shape can thus be introduced easily and without wear and with a minimum of extra guide rolls.
