PURPOSE:To reduce sintering time by making heating simultaneously with pressing of the powder packed in sintering dies possible with a pressurizing press and pressurizing punches serving also as electric power supply electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A switch 11 is opened to discharge the charging voltage of a capacitor 9 and to flow impulsive current to coils 7, 8. At the same time, electromagnetic press devices 5, 6 operate to activate punches 3, 4, thereby pressurizing powder 2. The electric current flowing in the coils 7, 8 at the same time flows to the powder 2 as well and generates Joule heat, by which the powder 2 is heated and compression-molded. |
