PURPOSE:To correct bending of the pipe end and speed up the work by making at least one unit of plural stands provided with concave rolls on the pass line special shape different in radius of curvature of roll profile. CONSTITUTION:Plural units of stands having concave rolls on the pass line are arranged longitudinally to correct bending generated during working of a steel pipe P etc. sent out from a rolling mill. At this time, for instance, rolls 1, 2, 7, 8 of the first and fourth stands are kept as before and the radii of curvature of roll profile of upper rolls 9, 11 and lower rolls 10, 12 of the second and third stands are changed. The contact length (l) between the steel pipe P and rolls 9-12 made long and bending is applied to the steel pipe P. Thus, bending of the pipe end is corrected and the speed of correction is increased. |
