PURPOSE:To make drive comfortableness and controllability satisfactory, by increasing the damping force of a shock-absorber device when the operational period of an antiskid mechanism exceeds a predetermined value, so that the self- exciting vibration of a vehicle upon anti-skid operation is prevented. CONSTITUTION:A plug 38 is air-tightly fitted into an open cylinder 14a which is formed in the lateral surface of the outer cylinder 14 of a cylinder assembly 10 in a hydraulic shock absorber mechanism. The plug 38 is formed with a variable orifice 40 having one end communicated with a first hydraulic chamber 202 through a conduit 42 and a communication passage 22a in a top holder 22 and the other end communicated with a second hydraulic chamber 204 through a hydraulic reservoir 200. Further, a grooved hole 38 orthogonal to the varaible orifice 40 is formed, and a valve part 52a of a plunger 52 which is actuated by a solenoid 44 is inserted in the grooved hole 38a. The solenoid 44 is energized when the self-exciting vibration upon anti-skid operation is required to be prevented, for blocking the variable orifice 40 with the valve part 52a. |
