PURPOSE:To exactly compress a relating data quantity by making a part having a common expression a subroutine in plural character expressions described with an outline expression, etc., capable of calling a subroutine. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of a storing means 11 for storing plural character patterns, an extracting means 12 for extracting a candidate pattern common to the character patterns in the storing means 11, a calculating means 13 calculating a reduction quantity generated by the partial candidate patterns based on the length and numbers of times of the appearance of the partial candidate patterns, a decision means 14 deciding partial patterns to be subroutined base on the calculation result and a coversion means 15 converting partial patterns in the storing means 11 to calling information based on the resulted decision. |
