J3236 A hair shampoo composition is provided, which comprises, in addition to water, one or more C6 to C34 acyl lactylates and one or more alkyl polyglycoside(s) where the alkyl group contains 5 to 30 carbon atoms and the ratio of acyl lactylate to alkyl polyglycoside is greater than or equal to 1:6. The shampoo provides a foam which is less coarse than that normally associated with compositions containing alkyl polyglycosides.
