<p>A vehicle road wheel locking device comprising a cylindrical support (10) having a first jaw member (16) rigidly secured to one end. A second jaw member (22) is supported by the other end of the support (10) to be axially slidable and rotatable thereto. Each jaw member includes a jaw (24, 26) extending generally transversely of the support (10). One or both jaws (24, 26) terminates in a projection (28, 30). The clasp (44) of a padlock (46) can be located within holes (42) in the support and the second jaw member (22) to lock the second jaw member (22) relative to the support (10) with both jaws (24, 26) extending in the same plane thereby enabling the device to be secured axially across the periphery of a tyre and wheel assembly with each projection (28, 30) of the jaws engaging opposite sides of the wheel rim preventing withdrawal of the device.</p> |
