PURPOSE:To measure the concn. of an org. acid on-line, by directly sampling a fermentation solution from the outlet of a fermentation tank to apply fermentation stop treatment thereto before measuring the reduction value of the current of an electrode. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined amount of a fermentation solution is introduced into a pH control and dilution tank 4 from a fermentation tank 1 by a pump 2. A methane fermentation inhibitor 16 is added to the fermentation solution and a pH control solution 8 is charged in the tank 4 by a pump 6 until reaching pH 4 while a pH controller 3 is controlled and dilution water 9 is charged in the tank 4 by a pump 7. Next, a stirrer 5 is started to perform aeration stirring. A jacket type measuring cell 12 receiving a liquid by a constant temp. water recirculation pump 14 and held to constant temp. has a microbiological electrode set thereto, and the pH control solution and a washing solution are continuously injected in said cell 12 by pumps 6', 11 to keep an electrode 13 clean. A specimen solution and a standard solution are introduced into the cell 12 at a definite interval by the operation of the change-over valve with the washing solution and the concn. of an org. acid is measured by a data processor 15. By this method, the concn. of the org. acid can be measured on-line. |
