<p>PURPOSE:To industrially and advantageously obtain the titled compound having blood stream increasing and hypotensive action, by removing protective groups of a protected vasoactive.intestinal.polypeptide (VIP) consisting of a specific octacosapeptide. CONSTITUTION:A C-terminal amino acid expressed by the formula Z-Asn-NH2 (Z is benzyloxycarbonyl) is successively reacted with amino acids having protected amino group in methanol in the presence of Pd by passing H2 gas to provide an octacosapeptide expressed by the formula (Boc is tert- butyloxycarbonyl; Bzl is benzyl; OcHex is cyclohexyl ester; Tos is tosyl), which is then treated with hydrogen fluoride while being cooled with ice to remove the protective groups of the octacosapeptide and afford the aimed VIP.</p> |
