PURPOSE:To miniaturize a fuel cell by causing continuous absorption and emission of hydrogen under a desired level of pressure and making stable and economical supply of hydrogen. CONSTITUTION:A hydrogen storage/emission means 11 has two hydrogen storage alloys 12, 13 capable of absorbing or emissting hydrogen. Simultaneously with substantially continuous performance of hydrogen storage and emission under a desired pressure, a destination of hydrogen storage, or a destination of hydrogen emission, is freely changed over by a storage change-over means 14 or an emission change-over means 15. Further, in order that the hydrogen storage alloys 12, 13 may be set at a temperature corresponding to the desired pressure, a mixing means 20, 21 for causing mixing of a heating water and a cooling water in a specified ratio are provided, after which the heating water and cooling water mixed together are supplied to the hydrogen storage alloys 12, 13. |
