PURPOSE:To prevent misoperation such as starting measurement when a transducer is not connected and to simplify diagnosis of failures such as cable breakage and short-circuiting. CONSTITUTION:A supersonic wave applied measuring apparatus comprises a body 10 including a pulse circuit 53, a wide band amplifying circuit 55, a comparator 57, a time measuring part 52 and a microcomputer 1 for performing calculation for obtaining a desired measurement value based on supersonic wave propagation time, in addition to a transducer 54 freely removably provided on the body 10 via a connector 10A. Gain of the wide band amplifying circuit 55 and comparator voltage is adjusted by the microcomputer 1. Further an oscillator 3 is connected to an input stage of the wide band amplifying circuit 55 via a resistor 2 as well as an output end of the comparator 57 is connected to the microcomputer 1 so that the microcomputer 1 has a voltage detecting function for detecting output voltage of the wide band amplifying circuit 55 based on an output of the comparator 57. |
