CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet is produced by providing an ink layer 12 based on a colorant and a polyamide resin whose m.p. measured by a DSC method is 80-150 deg.C on a support 11 and a receiving sheet is produced by providing a layer having a printing surface based on a polyamide resin and surface strength due to JIS-P8129 of No.2 or more on a support. When both sheets are combined to perform thermal transfer, since the surface strength of the receiving sheet is enhanced, a reverse transfer phenomenon wherein the surface substance 21a of the transfer target 21 is bonded to the thermal transfer sheet to generate missing in an image can be prevented.
