PURPOSE:To obtain a negative-type heat-sensitive recording material having excellent preservation stability and high sensitivity and being usable for OHP, by forming a heat-sensitive layer by a method wherein a light-colored basic dye precursor and a specific color-developing agent are dissolved in an organic solvent being water-retardant or non-water-soluble and thereafter a coating liquid containing microcapsules which contain an emulsified emulsion dispersion and a color-extinguishing agent is applied on a supporting body and dried. CONSTITUTION:As for a basic dye precursor, a colorless or light-colored compound is selected appropriately from publicly known compounds which form a color by donating electrons or accepting protons of an acid or the like. For instance, a triarylmethane compound, diphenylmethane compound, a xanthene compound, a thiazine compound, a spiropyran compound, etc. can be mentioned as said compound. As for a collor-developing agent causing a color-forming reaction with the basic dye precursor, a free phenolic compound and a salicylic acid derivative metal salt are used preferably together. |
