Process for cooling or heating concrete in a so-called gravity mixer provided with a large number of internal blades, in which a gas is introduced into the mixer, which gas is used as a cooling or heating medium. The invention is distinguished by the fact that the gas is introduced in a lance running through the feed opening of the mixer, so that the lance forms an angle to the horizontal plane and so that the mouth of the lance is brought firstly to lie close to the surface of the concrete present in the mixer and secondly into a position by the blades lying closest to the feed opening.
