In the case of installation systems which can be designed individually from installation boxes (junction boxes) (11) which can be strung together, the problem arises of individually occupying the installation boxes (11), combined to form the installation system, with conductors or conductor sections to reflect the respective necessity. For this purpose, the installation boxes are provided with channels (122, 122' ... 122<VII>) which project from the bottom into the interior of the box, extend between the regions (112, 113), provided with flush passages, of the outer surface of the box, and run parallel to each other, into which the conductor sections which are accessible to connections from the inside of the box can be inserted in a shock-hazard-protected manner (such that it is protected from being touched). This opens up the possibility of forming the installation system from one basic element, that is to say one standard installation box (11), it being possible to fit the respective installation box (11) in each case individually with conductor sections. <IMAGE>
