PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring a liquid droplet absorbing time which enable the quantitative evaluation of ink absorbing capacities of a sheet for inkjet recording, and the measurement of the liquid droplet absorbing time having a high correlation with an evaluation on printing by an actual inkjet printer.

SOLUTION: The method for measuring the liquid droplet absorbing time is a method for measuring an absorbing time when liquid droplets A are absorbed by the sheet 11a for inkjet recording. In this method, the liquid droplets with approximately equal quantities generated at specified intervals by a liquid droplet generating means 12 are repeatedly absorbed by the same part of the sheet 11a for inkjet recording, so that the absorbing times of respective liquid droplets in the sheet 11a for inkjet recording are measured.
