COLORING MATTER FOR FORMING RECORDING LAYER OF OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM, OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND ITS RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the coloring matter for forming the recording layer of a recording medium including a hydrazone metal chelate complex excellent in solubility to a coating solvent, light resistance and recording sensitivity to blue laser.

SOLUTION: This coloring matter for forming the recording layer of the optical recording medium includes ≥1 kind of the chelate complex consisting of a hydrazone ligand expressed by formula (1), a transition metal cation and a ≤20C anion, wherein a ring A and a ring B respectively express a nitrogen-containing heteroaromatic ring allowable for having a substituent and R1and R2each independently express a hydrogen atom or a ≤20C monovalent substituent.
