PURPOSE:To perform dichroic image recording by providing a photosensitive body on which a photoconductive and an electrically conductive layer are stacked, changing DC biases applied to two kinds of color toner developing device, and holding the potential of the latter above the potential of the conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body 1 is composed of the photoconductive layer 1a and bipolar electrically conductive layer 1b on the reverse surface. When the photosensitive body 1 rotates up to a destaticization member 10, changeover switches 11 and 12 are changed over to switch the bias of a developing device 6a and the bias of a red negative toner developing device 6b to the same values in the 1st image recording. Red negative toner sticks to the part of the 2nd exposed image +E. Thus, an image in red form is recorded on recording paper on which a black data image is already recorded to form a dichroic recording image. Consequently, relative variations between developing device biases and potentials of a light and a dark part are eliminated. The potential of a latent image is determined by the potential of a DC power source, so environmental dependency is reduced and an invariably stable image is obtained. |
