PURPOSE:To introduce plasma ions to MS effectively. CONSTITUTION:Plasma P produced in a torch 53 is drawn out by a drawout electrode 41, and its section form is deformed by a lens 42 into a form similar to the opening shape of a main slit 54 of a magnetic field type mass- spectrometric system. This is located by a deflector 43 in the position at the opening in the main slit 54. Thereby plasma ions can be introduced to the mass-spectrometric system effectively.
