PURPOSE:To prevent the useless consumption of power by generating an assisting driving power only in case of necessity, by starting operation, using a regeneration retarder as electric motor, when the accelerator opening degree is over a prescribed value, in shift down, and completing operation in case of a prescribed opening degree or less. CONSTITUTION:A regeneration retarder R is constituted of a flywheel 6 which is directly connected with a crankshaft 3, armature coil 4, and a field coil 5. In this case, an inverter 12 as electricity feeding means for the regeneration retarder R, high voltage electricity storage means 13, magnetic field control part 14, and a converter 15 are controlled on the basis of a variety of detection signals supplied from a variety of sensors 20-23 for detecting a variety of operation states of an engine by a controller 18 equipped with each timer 18-1. If the accelerator opening degree becomes over a prescribed opening degree or more in shift down, the regeneration retarder R starts operation as electric motor. In case of a prescribed opening degree or less, operation is completed. |
