PURPOSE:To obtain a glucose biosensor not generating the adhesion and coagulation of components such as protein, lipid, sugar, blood corpuscles or the like on the surface of a membrane even when the amount of glucose is measured in a solution containing said components and free from such a problem that response is obstructed and durability is lowered. CONSTITUTION:Polyamide microcapsules having an aqueous sodium citrate solution encapsulated therein are mixed with an aqueous solution of a water-soluble photo-crosslinkable resin and the resulting mixture is applied to a platinum electrode coated with a glucose oxidase immobilized polyvinyl chloride membrane to be irradiated with ultraviolet rays. The biosensor having the acting electrode thus obtained is connected to an ammeter and an opposed electrode and the reference electrode of the ammeter are short-circuited to apply potential to the acting electrode to measure the response to a glucose solution. |
