Method for stabilizing a sheet pile which is composed of pile planks which have been driven into the ground next to one another and forms a revetment for an embankment feature or another sheet pile forming an earth-retaining structure, in which on the land side, parallel to the first sheet pile, a second, temporary sheet pile is arranged, earth is removed between the first and second sheet piles, and a monolithic body is then formed in the trench which has been formed, after which the second sheet pile can be removed. A pipe which is made from a suitably selected material, is watertight and is impermeable to the mixture forming the monolithic body can be arranged in the longitudinal direction of the trench, and the mixture is poured into this pipe and is then able to harden therein. <IMAGE>
