MACROMOLECULAR MATERIAL WITH INCREASED STRENGTH AND TOUGHNESS AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING THEREOF

The macromolecular material is based on homopolymer and/or copolymer of vinyl chloride, whereas it consists of 1) 0.2 to 20 % by weight of a consistency modifier, consisting of 30 to 100 % by weight of a mixture of dicarboxyl to tetracarboxylic acid and/or their anhydrides with partial ester of aliphatic monool or tetraol with molar mass of 60 to 6000 g.mol<-1> and/or at least with one diester to tetraester of dicarboxyl to tetracarboxylic acid with aliphatic monool to tetraol and possibly up to 30 % by weight of aliphatic monool to tetraol, 2) 0.1 to 20 % by weight of adjuvant and 3) up to 100 % homopolymer and/or copolymer of vinyl chloride. It is prepared from the initial compounds separately or "in situ" under thorough homogenisation at 40 to 210 degrees C. It can be used in the production of compounds and in the processing of PVC and copolymers of vinyl chloride.
