PURPOSE:To speed up a seek operation by detecting and storing the positional deviation of the track due to a second light beam to the track by a first light beam previously and correcting a second position control signal at the time of actually using a device in the optical disk device of two beam system. CONSTITUTION:In the optical disk device of two beam system using the first beam 10 for recording/reproducing and the second beam 21 used exclusively for reproducing, the positional deviation of the track of the beam 21 IS detected by a driving signal detector 42 previously detecting the driving current value of a second position control means 24 to the track for the optical disk 1 of the beam 10 at the time of starting the device, etc. The detected result is stored in a memory 45 being a storage means through an A/D converter 43, a logic circuit 30. Then the storage content in the memory 45 is added to a second control system and the second position control signal is automatically corrected at the time of actually using the device, thus it is unnecessary that the coincide of the first and the second beam position is detected at the time of seeking and the seek operation is speeded up. |
