PROCESS AND ARRANGEMENT FOR ANTENNA DIVERSITY SELECTION IN THE RECEIVING DEVICE OF A CORDLESS TELEPHONE SYSTEM

A process and arrangement are disclosed for activating two antennas of a receiving device. The arrangement has a central processor (DECT-C), a device (RSSI-C) for measuring the field intensity of signals received over two antennas (A1, A2) and a threshold value generator (TH-G). The central processor (DECT-C) carries out process steps designed in such a way that during successive time intervals the field intensity of signals received during the corresponding time interval over the antennas (A1, A2) activated during the corresponding time interval is measured. Depending on the field intensities measured during said successive time intervals, the one or the other antenna (A1, A2) is activated for receiving the signals in the time interval that follows the time interval during which the measurement was carried out.
