DISPLAY TELEPHONES WITH AUTOMATIC REPERTORY DIALLER CONTROL SYSTEM

A display telephone comprises a handset (10) and a body (12). A display (20) forms a part of a body and is arranged to display fields of name, address and telephone number data stored in an internal database. The data displayed is varied by rotating index wheel (24) which scrools the data base. Once displayed, a number is dialled by depressing an auto dial key. The internal database in divided into public and personal sections. The personal section can be loaded from the terminal using a keyboard housed under flap (18). Both parts of the database may be loaded and amended from a remote PC which communicates with the telephone terminal via a serial port.
