PURPOSE:To obtain heat-sensitive recording material, which is excellent in the shelf stability of recorded image and suitable for high speed recording material, by a method wherein a specified compound is employed as developer. CONSTITUTION:In the heat-sensitive recording material having a heat-sensitive coloring layer mainly consisting of leuco dye and developer for coloring the leuco dye under heat and formed on a support, a compound expressed by the formula I is employed as the developer. In the formula I, R represents alkyl group, aryl group and aralkyl group. In this case, the alkyl group may have a alkoxy group, acyl group, acyloxy group, halogen atom or nitro group. Further, the aromatic ring in the aryl group and in the aralkyl group may have a alkyl group, alkoxy group, acyl group, acyloxy group, halogen atom or nitro group. Furthermore, X represents hydrogen atom, alkyl group, alkoxy group, acyl group, acyoxy group, halogen atom or nitro group, and (n) represents an integer from 1 through 3, and (m) represents an integer from 0 through 4 under the condition that n+m is below 5. |
