PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a pseudo-counter to be generated when a picture is moved on a screen by providing two subfields in the subfields in which relative ratios of luminance are high, and selectively displaying the subfield in halftone necessary for displaying one side of them. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a code converting part 8 converting the output of an A/D conversion part 3 by the subfield selection signal 101 from a subfield selection part 9, a control part 6 controlling the conversion parts 3, 8, a frame memory part 4 and a driving part 5 based on a synchronizing signal and the subfield selecting part 9 generating a selection signal 101 based on the synchronizing signal. Then, at the time of dividing the video signal of one field into plural subfields, displays/non-displays of two subfields in which relative ratios of luminance are high are selectively displayed so as to become opposite each other between adjacent upper and lower pixels adjacent to each other and between adjacent fields. Thus, the pseudo-counter of a moving picture to be generated when a digitized flat picture is moved is reduced. |
