PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide monitoring equipment for the state of a storage element which can detect a physical quantity such as temperature other than a terminal based voltage of a capacitor by a simple construction. SOLUTION: A capacitor management ECU 21 has multiplexers 36 and 37, while a capacitor cell 27 is constructed of an electric double layer capacitor 27a, a bypass switch 27b, a differential amplifier 27c outputting a terminal based voltage of the electric double layer capacitor 27a and a temperature detecting element 27d detecting the temperature of the cell. CPU 31 in the capacitor management ECU 21 switches the multiplexer 36 and selects the capacitor cell 27. As to the selected capacitor cell 27, the terminal based voltage of the electric double layer capacitor 27a is measured by switching the multiplexer 37 over to the differential amplifier 27c side and the temperature of the capacitor cell 27 is detected by switching the multiplexer 37 over to the temperature detecting element 27d side. Based on the terminal based voltage and the temperature detected, the state of the capacitor cell 27 is determined. When the state is determined as abnormal, the capacitor cell is registered as abnormal in a table stored in RAM 33. |
