The microcomputer control mode heating device has a safety deciding condenser which is charged when a power plug is connected; a deciding circuit for deciding the amount charged of the safety deciding condenser and generating a heating stop signal if the amount charged is below a predetermined level; and a discharging circuit for discharging the safety deciding condenser, whereby even though a start signal is output from an operating switch when a microcomputer is reset, the heating source is maintained as a heating stop state if a heating stop signal is output from the deciding circuit, while the discharging circuit is maintained as an operating state if the heating stop signal is not output from the deciding circuit, and the discharging circuit is stopped when the operating switch is switched off.
