摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a light signal from decreasing in level even when the light signal is inputted to or outputted from a joined surface by a large quantity by adding fixing auxiliary materials to an optical waveguide substrate and an optical fiber terminal respectively, and making the fixing auxiliary materials abut against each other and fixing them by adhesion. SOLUTION: The outer periphery of the optical fiber terminal 2 to which an optical fiber cord 1 is connected and a recessed part of a 1st fixing auxiliary material 4 are fixed with an adhesive. The outer periphery of the optical waveguide substrate 3 and part of a recessed part of a 2nd fixing auxiliary material 5 to be engaged with the outer periphery of the optical waveguide substrate 3 are applied with an adhesive, and the optical waveguide substrate 3 and 2nd fixing auxiliary material 5 are fixed together. Part of the recessed part of the 2nd fixing auxiliary material 5 to be engaged with the outer periphery of the optical fiber terminal 2 are the outer periphery of the optical fiber terminal 2 are applied with an adhesive. Then the contact surfaces of the 1st fixing auxiliary material 4 and the 2nd fixing auxiliary material 5 are applied with adhesives and the contact surfaces of an optical fiber of the optical fiber terminal 2 and a core of the optical fiber substrate 3 are joined together without any adhesive.
