Boiler tube protective device

The boiler tube protective device has a number of ceramic bodies (1), which along their dividing surfaces have devices for limiting slippage of each ceramic body along them. The dividing surfaces of the ceramic body are inclined to a straight plane or run parallel to it, the plane containing a central axis of the cylindrical boiler tube protective device. The fixture limiting device has a staged section, which is provided in the dividing plane (2) of each ceramic body. The staged section (3) encloses an acute angle with the dividing plane of each ceramic body in such a way that a movement of the ceramic body is limitable in an orthogonal direction to the dividing plane. The ceramic material is silicon carbide. The mortar is selected from the group comprising silicon carbide based mortar, mortar based on mullite and that based on aluminium oxide.
