This invention relates to a vehicle seat having a seat place and a seat back, which has a front portion and a back portion, which portions are separated by a space comprising a non-rigid material, a headrest being arranged at the upper part of the front portion. According to the invention the vehicle seat is characterized in that the seat back (2) is designed in that way that when the vehicle, having the mentioned vehicle seat, is bumped from behind, the lower part of the front portion (3) of the seat back will in a first stage be forced backwards against the action of the non-rigid material in the direction towards the rear portion (4) of the seat back and take a fixed position, which has the consequence that the upper part of the front portion (3) with the headrest, belonging to it, are forced forwards for catching the upper part of the body and the head, whereafter in a second stage the upper part of the front portion (3) and the headrest, belonging to it, are forced backwards against the action of the non-rigid material at the same time as the backward movement of the body is braked down. |
