PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the space and labor for installing a valve, and prevent generation of nonconformity such as invasion of outer air and outflow of electrolyte. SOLUTION: A relief valve 4 is provided on the top wall 11 of a battery case 1, and an adjusting screw 42 is screwed into an upper opening of a valve case 41. A coil spring 43 is disposed between the adjusting screw 42 and a valve element 44 to press the back of the valve element 44. The valve element 44 is lifted to open against spring force of the coil spring 43 when case inner pressure exceeds a set value, so gas in the battery case 1 is discharged through a degassing hole 13 and a ventilation hole 423 outward. By loosening the adjusting screw 42 or tightening it to change deformation amount of the coil spring 43, a set release pressure of the valve element 44 can be continuously changed. |
