In a communication method for performing communication between devices connected to a predetermined network of the IEEE1394 system or the like, when isochronous communication is performed between a first device and a second device which are connected to the network, for example, a connection is established by using a first isochronous channel between an imaginary output plug of the first device and an imaginary input plug of the second device, and a connection is established by using a second isochronous channel between an imaginary output plug of the second device and an imaginary input plug of the first device, so that bidirectional communication is performed by using the first and second isochronous channels in which the connections are established to thereby easily set a connection dedicated to isochronous transmission between specific devices. <IMAGE> |
