PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a height position adjusting device, capable of precisely adjusting a height position of an optical system, even when it is necessary to frequently adjust the height position of the optical system. SOLUTION: This height position adjusting device is characterized by its being provided with a moving direction regulated member 43 having its moving direction regulated, so it can move only in the vertical directions, a micrometer head 44 abutting from below on a ball bearing 45 provided on the moving direction regulated member, and a stepping motor 46, and it is composed so that the micrometer head is rotated by the stepping motor.
