FREE-END HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE MODULE FOR WATER TREATMENT

PURPOSE: A free-end hollow fiber membrane module for water treatment is provided to reduce cake deposition onto hollow fiber membrane, compared with conventional hollow fiber membrane. CONSTITUTION: A collector(2) is installed at the lower part of the module. One side of hollow fiber membrane(1) is equipped with the collector, and other side is free-end. Air passes through a pipe(4), and sprayed at above the collector. Therefore cake deposit on hollow fiber membranes is removed by scrubbing of air and vibration of hollow fiber membranes.
