PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display panel is provided to prevent a smear from appearing around a seal pattern due to ion impurities in liquid crystal by capturing the ion impurities. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display panel is constructed in such a manner that a liquid crystal layer is formed at an active region between the first substrate(1) and the second substrate(2) having the active region and a seal region. The panel includes a seal pattern(S), an electrode pattern(5), a thin film transistor, a pixel electrode(3), and a common electrode(4). The seal pattern is formed between the first and second substrates to be located on the seal region and attaches the first and second substrates to each other. The electrode pattern is formed under the seal pattern. The thin film transistor is formed on the active region. The pixel electrode is connected to the thin film transistor and formed on the active region. The common electrode formed on the first substrate, opposite to the pixel electrode.
