PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of image quality due the difference in the intensities between plural beams. SOLUTION: A laser drive circuit 100 modulates the emitted beams from an LD1 and an LD2 according to image data, with the intensity of the beam set by a beam intensity control part 101. The control part 101 corrects the intensity of at least one beam, so that the intensity of each beam obtained when the beam is made incident on a synchronous detection signal sensor is nearly equal. Then, the control part 101 corrects it, so that the intensity of each beam with respect to all the image height areas in an image area is nearly equal, based on previously set and inputted correction value and the intensity of the beam detected by a potential sensor 103 and a toner density sensor 104. |
