PURPOSE: A remotely controllable power-saving electric outlet is provided to reduce the amount of wasted electric power by cutting off power supplied to an electric appliance being in idle state. CONSTITUTION: A remotely controllable power-saving electric outlet includes a power gate(103), a power select receiver(101) and a power select transmitter(100). The power gate is connected to a plug of an electric device and cuts off power supplied to the electric device according to an external signal. The power gate accommodates a plurality of plugs. The power select receiver is connected to the power gate in wired or wireless to transmit the external signal to the power gate. The power select transmitter transmits the external signal to the power select receiver.
