PURPOSE: A device for reinforcing outer steel wires of a continuous bridge and a reinforcement method using the device are provided to enable the reinforcement of a continuous bridge by using outer steel wires connecting respective girders. CONSTITUTION: An outer wire reinforcement device of a continuous bridge is composed of an outer steel wire(10), a saddle(20) and a deviator(30). The outer steel wire connecting at least two of girders(1) has settlement units(12) in its both end portions, and the tension of the wire is adjustable. The outer steel wire is formed of a bundle of steel wires embedded in a separate tube to protect the steel wires and to bear the tension.
