PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output device to prevent the generation of through-currents, to reduce power consumption, and to prevent the deterioration of a transistor when the output state of a main buffer for driving a PAD node side changes from an L level to an H level, or an H level to an L level. SOLUTION: An output buffer 22 selects a mode to output data to be inputted from a LSI chip side to an input terminal 21 through a PAD node 25 to a bus side or the mode of high impedance according to a control input EN to a control terminal 23. A bus keeper circuit 28 sets the PAD node 25 into the H level or L level of the output buffer 22 when the output buffer 22 is set into the high impedance mode, and the bus keeper circuit 28 is invalidated when the output data buffer 22 is set into the output mode.
